Lightweight graphite and aluminum construction keeps both reels in the bundle strong yet lightweight at 7.4 oz each. The Max Pro reel has 7 stainless steel ball bearings + 1 roller bearing while the Max STX has 5 stainless steel ball bearings + 1 roller bearing for smooth performance.
Good recovery rates – the Max Pro recovers 28” | 71cm and the Max STX recovers 25” | 64cm of line per handle turn. Max Pro has a gear ratio of 7.1:1 and Max STX has a ratio of 6.4:1.
MagTrax brake system provides consistent brake pressure while casting with both reels. Synthetic star drag system offers smooth drag performance up to 15 lb | 6.8 kg max drag.
Right handle design with bent handle, star drag and large soft touch knobs on both reels provide ergonomic comfort.
The Max STX reel features a flipping switch to easily let out line using one hand when needed.
